The James R. Thompson Center is located adjacent to the Clark/Lake ‘L’ station in the loop. The Thompson Center houses offices for the Illinois state government. The exterior of the Thompson Center receives mixed reviews. Personally, I think it’s hideous. However when you step inside, you are left in awe of the immense skylit atrium.
